What is ISHTA?
ISHTA stands for Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda. The word ISHTA means ‘that which resonates with your spirit’. This means that whatever your level and experience with yoga may be, this retreat will be perfect for you as an individual. In fact, this retreat is an experience like no other.
The ISHTA Yoga Retreat Experience
Imagine the sounds of nature as you stroll through beautiful tropical gardens to meet Sarah and Tamara for an exhilarating Yoga class. This will then be followed by meditation practice with Alan in our stunning, wood floored, open-air yoga studio.
Picture eating delicious, healthy food with great, like-minded people after your blissful, extended yoga and meditation practice. You might decide to indulge in a massage, explore the city of Ubud, visit the Elephant Safari Park or Monkey Forest, attend an Indonesian cooking class or maybe even take refuge in a well-deserved rest.
Your yoga practice will deepen as you learn a wealth of knowledge passed down from an authentic lineage of teachers and you’ll integrate this into your daily practice, both on and off the mat. You will leave our retreat feeling lighter, more inspired and grounded in the knowledge of yoga.
Immerse Yourself on Our Bali Yoga Retreat
The ISHTA Bliss Retreat is held at the Ananda Cottages in Ubud, renowned as the cultural and traditional heart of Bali. Ananda Cottages are a unique, traditional style of accommodation owned and run by a local family. The cottages are immersed in and amongst rice paddies, green fields and lush jungle.
Research indicates spending time in nature can lead to a faster recovery from stress, decreased mental fatigue, restored mental clarity, increased sense of wellbeing, improved physical health and healing, and even improved performance.
We invite you to enjoy some amazing yoga in the gorgeous, warm climate of Bali. The retreat will be lots of fun with yoga, morning and afternoon, and a meditation class each morning. You will have free time each day to rest and explore Ubud. There are great restaurants and shopping close by as well as a range of massage and Ayurvedic treatments at very reasonable rates.

Our Three Yoga Retreat Options:
July 24 – July 30, 2017
The first retreat begins with an introductory session on Monday July 24 at 4:00pm and concludes after the 10am brunch on Sunday July 30.
July 31 – August 5, 2017
The second retreat commences with an introductory session at 4:00pm on Monday July 31 and concludes after the 10am brunch on Saturday, August 5. Check-in time is 1:00pm. Check-out time is at noon.

- 6:30am: Early morning coffee/snacks
- 7:00 – 8:30am: Morning asana (Tamara/Sarah)
- 8:30 – 9:45am: Meditation (Alan)
- 9:45am: Breakfast
- 10:30 – 4:00pm: FREE TIME
- 4:00 – 5:00pm: Satsang (Alan/Tamara/Sarah)
- 5:00-6:00pm: Restorative/Yin
Fees are per person and include all yoga, meditation, accommodation and breakfast during the retreat.
Airfare and other meals are not included. We highly recommend travel insurance, as all payments are non-refundable.
