Relaxation and Meditation Workshop

Due to popular demand your favourite workshop is back! 

Need to de-stress? Take time for yourself and learn about meditation and pranayama. Come along to our special relaxation and meditation workshop.

Tamara Yoga teacher, Carol Hicks will teach the ISHTA meditation technique which includes breathing exercises (pranayama) and a meditation sitting of 20 minutes.

The session concludes with some gentle restorative yoga poses and a deeply relaxing guided meditation called Yoga Nidra or Yogic sleep.

During the session you will also learn about the scientific benefits of meditation:

  • Harvard Business School has declared that "meditation and intuition are the two most valuable executive tools for the 21st century".
  • A 2009 study by Dr Ramesh Manocha at Sydney University found occupational stress decreased by 26 per cent after eight weeks of meditation.
  • Athletes, corporate workers, students and parents can access meditation to develop bullet-proof concentration skills and resilience to better manage stress and anxiety.
