When I started my training with Tamara it felt like arriving home. I feel deeply touched over and over by how genuine Tamara and all the Tamara Yoga teachers live and teach yoga. It is so beautiful to see how they master the application of the ancient teachings to modern life. The training is particularly thorough in so many aspects such as anatomy, physiology, prenatal yoga, how to work with injuries and how to apply yoga to daily life. It is such a relief to feel prepared and confident to teach."

You will be inspired to realize the goal of yoga, enlightenment.
You will learn about teaching methodology discovering how to create optimal states for learning, how to use voice, tone and rhythm and discover how to communicate powerfully with clarity. You will discover how to pace and sequence classes and the ways to direct your communication for different learning styles so every student will be enriched. You will learn how to prepare for teaching, how to connect and build rapport with your students, how to teach asana to everyone. You will learn how to work with students with injuries, how to teach pregnant women, children, teens, corporate classes and private classes. Specific asana, styles and lineages of yoga, the ISHTA system, Tantra, anatomy and physiology are all methodically studied. Further areas of study include learning how to give safe adjustments, when and how to demonstrate and asana alignment. Opportunities will be provided to observe classes and practice teaching.
Maybe you feel the need to deepen your practice but are not sure you want to be a teacher? As part of our program, trainees are required to attend regular Tamara Yoga classes as part of the course. This intense practice in yogic techniques of asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation while teacher training deepens your own practice, accelerates your development and facilitates your ability to transmit yoga. Several students each intake join the TYTT not sure they want to teach - they just feel compelled to learn more about yoga. They feel committed to yoga practice and they want to go deeper, consistently, in a supportive environment. At Tamara Yoga we provide that supportive, nurturing, encouraging environment. You will learn keys to happiness.
Previous students that have undertaken Tamara Yoga Teacher Training not to be yoga teachers, but because they have felt the need to deepen their practice, have found the skills learned and knowledge gained have improved their life on all levels including enhanced career performance and higher levels of inner happiness. Internationally recognized Tamara Yoga Teacher Training is known for outstanding results in reliably producing the highest quality teachers who enjoyed every step of their training. A previous TYTT graduate, now a successful teacher said: "I found the course online (not really looking for anything in particular) and phoned Tamara that day not really knowing if I wanted to join or not. I met Tamara two days later, signed up that day and have never looked back. It was fate! From the training I took sooooooo much. An interest in life again. A change in career with the confidence to begin my own successful yoga business. The philosophy was amazingly interesting and the asana instruction very informative. What I like about Tamara Yoga is Tamara, my fellow students and the personal growth the course offers. I had no plan of becoming a yoga teacher so the course at Tamara’s has given me the knowledge and confidence to share the philosophy of yoga, which is now a passion of mine. The anatomy and physiology class was work but invaluable. In every class I teach there is always someone with an injury so the knowledge that I took away has enabled me to teach with confidence that I am keeping my students safe. The training I received from Tamara’s has permitted me to teach a variety of classes including seniors, at the cancer council, beginners and children’s yoga. It just proves that the instruction I received was well rounded, entire and complete. If you are thinking about doing the training, I would say Do It! It will change your life. I loved the course, it has not only given me a new career path it has opened my heart to the joys of living and sharing my love of yoga." __Toni Limmer Trainees really enjoy Tamara Yoga Teacher Training: ”I chose Tamara Yoga because I was already attending classes at Tamara Yoga, loving it and wanting to learn more and delve deeper. I heard about the teacher training from someone who was in the middle of the course and they told me how wonderful it was and how special Tamara was to learn from. The teachers are all such wonderful people that I would be happy if I managed to be half as good as they are. They walk the talk, so are true examples of the benefit of living the yogic life.”__Margaret Light
I chose the Tamara Yoga Teacher 2 year Training for a few reasons. I have seen first hand the extensive knowledge my mum and friends have received from the course. I like the length and commitment that you have to make; I believe this will make for confident, knowledgeable teachers. However, the main reason I chose this course over others I have seen is Tamara herself. I have done a lot of yoga with a lot of teachers, some of whom are considered the best. I feel that Tamara is the only teacher that offers a true yoga teaching and experience. Tamara practices what she preaches, lives a balanced yoga life in a western world with non-judgement and passes this all on to every student, she is something to aspire to inside and outside the yoga class." _Alexis Miklavs
